Do you have a writing project in progress? Do you feel stuck with it or not sure that readers would like it?
Then come and meet Victoria Ichizli-Bartels, an author, independent writer, coach, and consultant, who published ten books since 2015 and is about to publish her new book which she created specifically for writers, with telling title “Cheerleading for Writers.”
When: October 4, 2017
Where: Trekanten Bibliotek & Kulturhus, Sebbersundvej 2A, 9220 Aalborg Øst
RSVP: Facebook Event
Victoria’s books received many positive reviews. A judge from the prestigious 24th Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards concluded their review of Victoria’s book “A Spy’s Daughter” with the following words, “the book’s plot is fascinating, and the protagonist extremely well-drawn, which isn’t always the case with spy fiction.”
Victoria is keen to provide an honest but kind critique for your work-in-progress and help you to overcome your blocks and anxieties about moving on.
Bring two pages of your work-in-progress (preferably formatted with double space). They can be in one of the following languages: English, Danish, German, Romanian, Russian. Victoria will read them and immediately communicate her opinion to you. You will also have a chance to exercise pitching your book by presenting your book idea and getting questions and prompts for next steps in return.

This event is hosted both by Victoria (Optimist Writer) and The South Gate Society School of Creative Writing (SGS). It will take place on October 4 from 10:30 to 13:30 CET. This particular event is free.
At the SGS Creative Writers’ Camp in March 2017, Victoria offered on behalf of SGS similar coaching to aspiring authors who participated in the Camp. The feedback was utterly positive on both sides. Therefore, in the dawn of publishing “Cheerleading for Writers,” Victoria would like to give the gift of cheerleading and supporting authors further.
Right now, only one such event is planned. Although, if there will be a growing demand for such sessions, then we will organize further events as well. Future events might, however, require a participation fee. Therefore, don’t put off this unique chance to get your work-in-progress read by someone who is less judgemental on your work than yourself, who can empathize with the challenges of the creative process, and who values both to give and to receive an honest opinion on the writing craft.
